Lina Medina, The Youngest Mother in Medical History

Youtube screenshots
Let's have some trivia here at Mommy Yah, did you know that the youngest confirmed mother in medical history is a 5 year old girl? Yes, at first I thought that it was just a hoax when I saw it on Youtube and then I got curious and began googling the topic.

I was driven to an article in wikepedia entitled "Lina Medina". Lina Medina is from Huancavelica, Region, Peru, born on September 27, 1933 and gave birth to his son on May 14, 1939 when she was 5 years old, 7 months and seventeen days.

Based on stories I've read, Lina's parents thought that she had a tumor in her stomach so she was rushed in the hospital for  possible treatment but the result surprised them because it was found out that Lina was 7 month pregnant.

Two more months have passed and Lina gave birth to his son Gerardo through a cesarean section. Gerardo thought that Lina was her older sister and the truth only revealed to him when he reached 10.

Lina went through medical examinations and her doctors found out that an early age of two and a half, her reproductive system was fully developed.

There was no confirmation for the identity of the father but there was a report that her biological father was arrested for suspicion of abusing her but later released for lack of evidence. Many people believe that even Lina might not actually know who made her pregnant and so the identity of the father never revealed until now.

Lina lived a normal life after giving birth at an early age. She had a job at the right age and married a man named Raul Jurado whom he had her second child.
